Video Production in Qatar
Noor Digital produces video in Qatar end to end with a Doha crew - script, shoot and edit, subtitled or voiced in Arabic and English - from a corporate film for a tender pack to vertical clips for social. Every film is delivered in the aspect ratios each channel actually plays, with subtitles typeset rather than auto-generated.

01From script to final cutHow does Noor Digital produce a video, from brief to delivery?
How does Noor Digital produce a video, from brief to delivery?
Noor Digital works in five stages: a brief fixing the audience and length, a written script and shot list you approve, a filming schedule, an edit with an agreed number of review rounds, and delivery in the formats each channel plays. Approving the script is where a video is genuinely controlled.
- A line rewritten on paper costs a sentence, not a filming day
- Interviews always overrun; a nervous executive needs several takes
- The shot list covers interviews, workplace views, close-ups and exteriors
- Editing covers colour, sound, music, graphics and subtitles
- Two review rounds are scheduled; without that, edits run for four months
02Choose the film formatWhat kind of video does a Qatari business actually need?
What kind of video does a Qatari business actually need?
Noor Digital makes four things far more often than anything else: a corporate profile film for tenders and introductions, a product film that explains one thing well, interview and event content, and short vertical clips for social. Most companies ask for the most expensive one first, and many do not need it.
- Corporate profile - used for years, so avoid dates and fashions
- Product or service film - one idea, shorter than clients expect
- Interview and testimonial - cheap, credible, if the questions were prepared
- Event highlight - cut fast, while the event still matters to anyone
- Recruitment, explainer and motion graphics - priced by animation required
03Language and subtitlesHow are Arabic and English handled in a video?
How are Arabic and English handled in a video?
Noor Digital decides the language versions before filming. There are three routes: one film subtitled in the second language, two voiceover versions over the same picture, or two genuinely separate edits. Each changes the script, the shoot and the budget, so the choice belongs at the brief.
- Arabic subtitles need right-to-left rendering, sensible breaks, enough screen time
- Auto-generated Arabic captions are unreliable and break mid-word
- Modern Standard Arabic for corporate; a Gulf read warmer for consumers
- Interviews that switch language mid-answer are subtitled in both
- Lower thirds, end cards and the logo mirror in the Arabic version
04Locations and permitsWhere can you film in Doha, and what needs permission?
Where can you film in Doha, and what needs permission?
Noor Digital arranges location access before the schedule is fixed, because most Doha locations belong to somebody. A West Bay tower needs building management approval and often a certificate of insurance; Msheireb and Katara handle filming requests through their own offices; a mall or hotel expects notice and a named contact.
- Drone footage needs Civil Aviation Authority clearance, planned weeks ahead
- Much of Doha sits in controlled airspace because of Hamad International
- May to September, outdoor filming is early morning and late afternoon
- Interiors carry the summer; exterior-heavy work is better from October
- Ramadan shifts crew, talent and catering into the evening - plan it so
05Build a workable scheduleHow long does a video take, and what slows it down?
How long does a video take, and what slows it down?
Noor Digital delivers a straightforward corporate film within a few weeks of an approved script: a day or two of filming, then editing and review. What extends it is almost never the camera work. Scripts waiting on approval, executives with no free hour, and crowded review rounds are the real delays.
- Naming one approver saves more time than any other decision
- A committee collects contradictory notes and the editor referees them
- A chief executive with two free hours sets the earliest date
- For a National Day or Ramadan campaign, count back from the air date
- Then add the approval chain, which often outlasts the edit itself
Questions about Video Production in Qatar
01How much does video production cost in Qatar?
Noor Digital prices video on what making it takes: how many filming days, the size of the crew, whether there is a scripted voiceover, how much animation and graphics are needed, how many language versions, and how many finished cuts. A single interview and a multi-location corporate film are different jobs entirely.
02How long does a corporate video take?
Noor Digital delivers most corporate films within a few weeks of an approved script. Filming is usually one or two days and the script and review cycle take the rest. Give us the air date at the brief and the schedule is planned backwards from it, including time for internal approvals.
03Do you write the script?
Yes. Noor Digital writes the script as part of the production, based on a briefing session with the people who actually know the subject, and you approve it before anything is filmed. Clients who prefer to supply their own script are welcome to, and we flag anything that will not survive being read aloud.
04Can you provide Arabic voiceover and subtitles?
Yes. Noor Digital delivers Arabic and English versions with professional voiceover or properly typeset subtitles, in Modern Standard Arabic for corporate and government audiences or a Gulf read for consumer work. Auto-generated Arabic captions are not used, because they break lines badly and misread names.
05Do we need drone footage?
Often not. Noor Digital uses drone work where the subject genuinely is a site, a building or a landscape, and skips it otherwise. Drone flights in Qatar need Civil Aviation Authority clearance and much of Doha sits in restricted airspace near Hamad International, so it is planned weeks ahead or dropped.
06Can you film our conference and cut a highlight reel?
Yes. Noor Digital films events across Qatar and edits a highlight reel while the event is still current, alongside full session recordings where the sessions are worth keeping. Stage audio has to come from the sound desk rather than the camera, so the venue needs telling before the day.
