Digital Business Card in Qatar
Noor Digital makes NFC digital business cards in Qatar under its NoorTap range: a physical card you tap against a phone, which opens your contact details, WhatsApp and website without an app on either side. Cards are designed, programmed and delivered in Doha, in Arabic and English, and the details behind them change without reprinting.

01How the tap worksWhat is a digital business card and how does it work?
What is a digital business card and how does it work?
Noor Digital's digital business card is a physical card with an NFC chip inside. Hold it against the back of a phone and the phone opens a link: your contact profile, with buttons to save you to contacts, message you on WhatsApp, call, email or open your website. Neither person installs anything.
- The chip stores a short web address and no personal data
- It needs no battery and reads only at a few centimetres
- Profile pages Noor Digital hosts fall under Law No. 13 of 2016
- Move office from West Bay to Lusail and edit the page, not the cards
- Cards already printed stay correct the next time somebody taps them
02Phone compatibilityDo NFC business cards work on every phone in Qatar?
Do NFC business cards work on every phone in Qatar?
Noor Digital's answer is: on nearly all of them, and the printed QR code on the reverse covers the rest. Every iPhone from the XR onwards reads NFC tags from the lock screen with no app and no setting to switch on. Android phones have read them for longer than that.
- A very old handset without NFC scans the printed code instead
- Some Android phones have NFC switched off in settings
- A thick metal case occasionally has to come off
- iPhone antennas sit near the cameras; Android nearer the middle
- Every card is tested on an iPhone and an Android before dispatch
03What you shareWhat actually opens when someone taps the card?
What actually opens when someone taps the card?
Noor Digital sets each card to open a profile page you control: name, title, company, mobile, email, a save-to-contacts button that writes a proper contact card, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, your website and a location pin. The card does not have to open a profile at all.
- Save-to-contacts writes your name and number straight into the other phone
- Paper cards fail because nobody types them in; a tap takes seconds
- WhatsApp deserves its own button: Doha conversations continue there after meetings
- A location pin helps, because West Bay and Lusail addresses resist description
- Or point it at a catalogue, a booking page or a tender profile
04Digital and printedDo we still need printed business cards as well?
Do we still need printed business cards as well?
Noor Digital expects most companies in Qatar to carry both. NFC cards are for people you meet and intend to follow up. Printed cards are still expected where a stack is left on a table, handed to a receptionist, or exchanged in a formal introduction where producing a phone would be wrong.
- At a Doha trade event you meet more people in two days
- You cannot tap a card against a phone left in a bag
- A card in a purchasing officer's drawer reminds; a tap does not
- Noor Digital prints both, drawn up together with one logo lockup
- Tell us who you meet and where, and we will say which
05Roll out across your teamHow does Noor Digital roll these out to a whole team?
How does Noor Digital roll these out to a whole team?
Noor Digital handles a team rollout as a single job: one design, a data sheet of names and details, a card programmed and tested per person, and one delivery to your office. The data sheet is what decides whether a rollout succeeds, so we send it and you fill it once.
- Arabic names spelled as each person spells them, not transliterated
- Job titles as HR has them, and direct numbers not the switchboard
- Sales teams, where save-to-contacts is the entire point
- Reception, where one card sits on the desk for visitors
- Agree who may reassign a card, and keep the roster as master
Questions about Digital Business Card in Qatar
01How does an NFC business card work?
Noor Digital programmes a chip inside the card with a short web address. Hold the card to the back of a phone and the phone opens that address: your contact profile, with save-to-contacts, WhatsApp, call and website buttons. No app is needed on either phone, and nothing is installed by anybody.
02Do digital business cards work on iPhones?
Yes. Noor Digital's cards read on every iPhone from the XR onwards, straight from the lock screen, with no app and no setting to enable. The antenna sits near the cameras at the top of the phone, so the card is held there. A printed QR code on the reverse covers older handsets.
03How much does a digital business card cost in Qatar?
Noor Digital quotes on the card material and finish, how many you order, whether the design is new or drawn from brand files you already have, and whether we host the profile page behind it. Team sets are priced as one job rather than per card. Send us a headcount and a delivery date.
04Can I change my details after the cards are made?
Yes. Noor Digital writes a link to the chip rather than your details, so a new number, title or logo is an edit to the page that link opens. Cards already in circulation show the change the next time somebody taps one, and no reprinting is involved.
05How long does it take, and can I order just one card?
Noor Digital takes single-card orders as readily as team sets. Turnaround depends on the finish and the quantity and is confirmed in writing with the quotation; a proof of the artwork and a test link for each card are approved before anything is printed. Tell us the date you need them by and we plan backwards from it.
06Can the card be in Arabic and English?
Yes. Noor Digital designs bilingual cards with an Arabic side and builds the profile page in both languages with proper right-to-left layout. Arabic name spellings are confirmed with each person rather than transliterated, because a guessed spelling on a business card is noticed immediately in Doha.
