Packaging Design in Qatar

Noor Digital is a packaging design company in Qatar working on retail and FMCG products: the artwork, the bilingual label, the range system, and the print-ready files your supplier needs. Designed in Doha on the dieline your manufacturer sends, and tested at real shelf size before anything is committed to a run.

Companies that trust us.

01
From dieline to artwork

What does Noor Digital’s packaging design cover?

Noor Digital covers the graphic side of packaging: artwork, the label system, typography and the way a range hangs together, all applied to the dieline your converter supplies. Structural engineering belongs to the converter, so Noor Digital works to their template rather than inventing a shape they then have to make.

  • Primary pack artwork: bottles, jars, cartons, pouches, tubs, sleeves
  • Labels, including the regulatory panel and ingredient or specification block
  • Outer cartons and shipping marks, usually forgotten until the final week
  • A range rule written while pack one is drawn, for later variants
  • Supplier file pack with colours, varnishes and cut lines specified
02
Bilingual label content

What has to appear on packaging sold in Qatar?

Noor Digital designs the label around what the pack must carry, and that list comes from your category, importer and retailer. Arabic labelling is expected on retail products sold in Qatar and needs designed space, not a sticker applied later. Confirm the required content in writing before artwork starts.

  • Food and drink: Ministry of Public Health food control, against the GSO standard
  • Cosmetics and consumer goods: Ministry of Commerce and Industry
  • Name and description in Arabic and English, ingredients, net weight, origin
  • Production and expiry dates, coding area left clear, importer details
  • A barcode fails when shrunk, curved or dropped on busy artwork
03
Prepare for production

How does the artwork reach the printer or converter?

Noor Digital supplies a file pack built to the converter’s specification: artwork on their dieline with cut, crease and bleed layers separated, colours named as spot or process, white ink and varnish on their own layers, and text outlined. A rejected file goes back behind everything else in the queue.

  • Substrate changes colour more than the file does - specify per substrate
  • Ask the converter for a printed draw-down where colour matters
  • Shrink sleeves need pre-distortion using the converter’s own profile
  • Without it the logo comes back squeezed and nobody knows why
  • A Ramadan pack clears approval, production, shipping and shelf plan first
04
Proof before printing

How do you check the packaging before committing to a print run?

Noor Digital tests at real size before anything is printed at volume. A design reviewed at 200 per cent on a monitor is not the design a customer meets from two metres down an aisle, and most legibility problems become obvious the moment the pack is held at its true size.

  • Print at actual size, tape to the pack shape, hold at arm’s length
  • View against the competitor packs it will physically sit beside
  • Check under aisle lighting, which is rarely daylight
  • Have the Arabic proofed on paper by somebody who reads it
  • Mock-ups for an Al Meera, Lulu, Carrefour or West Bay hotel buyer
05
Know what needs changing

When is new packaging not the answer?

Noor Digital will say when a redesign is not what the product needs. If the pack is recognised and the real problem is distribution, shelf position or price, new artwork changes nothing except your costs, and it can reset recognition you have already paid to build. A partial change is often enough.

  • Redesign when the pack does not say what it is in two seconds
  • Redesign when the label cannot carry the Arabic a new market requires
  • Redesign when variants have grown and no longer look related
  • Partial fix: front-panel hierarchy, logo lockup, artwork rebuilt on a clean dieline
  • Printed stock in the Industrial Area has value - phase it down

Questions about Packaging Design in Qatar

Ask us directly
01

Do you design the pack structure or only the artwork?

Noor Digital takes the artwork and the label system; the pack itself comes from your converter. Board grade, closure and sleeve profile are engineering decisions Noor Digital does not make. Send the converter’s dieline before design starts and the artwork lands on the physical pack the first time it is printed.

02

Does packaging in Qatar need Arabic on it?

Yes for retail products. Noor Digital designs the Arabic from the first layout, because a label that carries it later ends up with a sticker over the artwork. Food labels are checked by the Ministry of Public Health against the GSO standard; confirm your category's list with your importer, and Noor Digital gives it a designed area on the pack.

03

Can you design a whole product range?

Yes. Noor Digital builds the range as one fixed structure with a single element allowed to change, usually colour and sometimes one image. A new flavour or size then becomes a short job instead of a redesign, and the products still read as one family where they sit side by side on the shelf.

04

How long does packaging design take in Qatar?

Noor Digital scopes the timeline from the dieline and the product list, and the design is usually the shortest part. Label content approval, the converter's production slot, shipping and the retailer's shelf plan take longer than the artwork, so a Ramadan or National Day pack is started months ahead, not weeks. Send the launch date and we plan backwards.

05

Can we see the packaging before printing?

Noor Digital produces a rendered mock-up for internal sign-off and a printed sample for the physical check, and for a large run or a specialist finish recommends a proof from the converter on the actual substrate. Foil, matt varnish and metallised film behave in ways no screen preview shows honestly.

06

What does packaging design cost in Qatar?

Noor Digital prices packaging per product, and variants that share one system cost less than the first pack, because the rule is written once and the second flavour follows it. Writing Arabic label content, shrink-sleeve distortion and rendered mock-ups are each priced as their own item. Send the dieline and the product list for a quotation.
